I cannot register a program. It says: "Cannot connect to the registration server".
Most probable reasons for this are following:
- if your computer is running a firewall try changing its settings so that it would allow access to the Internet for the modules of Page Promoter; or temporarily turn the firewall off;
- check if the proxy server settings you have entered in the program options are correct; they should be identical to your default internet browser settings. If you are not sure whether your settings are correct, contact your system administrator or internet provider
The trial version of the program asks for the registration key, which I don't have yet.
When the registration window opens, click Cancel and the program will run in a demo mode. Check if the internet settings are correct - if everything is OK, the program should function without problems.
During the registration i get the message "The registration key is not valid". What has gone wrong? I have received the key by mail from you.
Most probably, when copying the key you have accidentally copied spaces at the beginning or at the end of the string, which might have caused an error. Also, you might have exceeded the maximum number of registrations; in that case contact us by e-mail (support@net-promoter.com).
How manu computers can I install my copy of the program on? It is already installed on one of our office computers and we would like to install it on another one.
In order to prevent illegal distribution of our software we track the number of program installations with the same key. In case it is too often, the key is blocked. The installation of the program with the same key is acceptable only on one home computer or several computers, provided they are within one company local area network. To avoid blocking registration key, please inform us about the number of computers on which the program will be installed and the range of IP addresses of the company.
Can I use your software using modem dial-up Internet connection?
Sure, our software can work with all types of internet-connections.
Can I use the FTP modules of some of your programs if I connect to FTP server through a proxy?
Unfortunately, our programs do not support access to FTP through proxy servers; use an external FTP client to access your server through a proxy.
What about Simple-FTP protocol, does it work in your programs?
SFTP protocol works over TCP, using port 115. You can specify the port in settings of our programs (by default it is set to 21). Change the port to 115 and the program should function smoothly. |
