The most probable reason for this might be that your project hasn't been saved on your hard disc. It exists only in your computer's RAM, so first you have save the project file, using menu buttons Project>Save As... By default your project files are saved in the Domain Name Checker installation folder, in the subfolder Projects. The extension of the project file is .ddt.
