If your local area network uses a Proxy Server to access the Internet, you can configure Domain Name Checker to use it. Proxy servers are typically required on local area networks in offices. Domain Name Checker supports most standard proxy servers. To enable proxy server support in the software, click Program Options in the Settings menu, then select the HTTP proxy tab.
For the Host field, enter the hostname of your local area network proxy server.
For the Port field, enter the port number (usually 80, 8080 or 3128) used by your local area network proxy server. You can import your proxy settings (Host and Port) from Internet Explorer, if it is configured to browse Internet.
If your proxy server requires authentication, enter your user name and the associated password in the next field.
Note: Most proxy servers do not require user name/password authentication.
